The new version of iOS 10 comes with lot of new feature. One of the newly added feature is the ability to allow iPhone screen to wake up when you take the phone in hand.

The feature is limited to certain models such as iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It is not clear why this feature is limited to these models and Apple haven’t disclosed the reason. It is possible that the limitation is due to the presence of M9 co-processor which is built into the Apple A9 chips. The co-processor is also considered to be behind the digital assistant Siri.

How to enable Lifting mode in iPhone

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Screen and Brightness
  3. Turn on Raise to Wake
