Check if Windows search service is working properly

  • Press Windows Key + R to open Run window
  • Type services.msc to open Services window
  • Check for Windows Search in the list. Check if the status of the service is running. If the service is stopped, right click on the service and click start. Also, try the restart option to make the service restart and confirm there are no errors or problems.
