How to Optimize and Reset Chrome Browser

Chrome browser does need a periodic reset from time to time. Chrome browser is prone to problems such as slow performance, too much temporary files slowing down browser permission, problems from bad file extensions, browser compatibility issues etc.

Resetting Google chrome using this method won’t affect your saved passwords, browser history and bookmarks. But the option will remove all the third party extensions, cookies, reset default settings and reset all settings to default.

How to reset google chrome to default settings

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click 3 dots on the right side -> From drop down menu select Settings
  3. Scroll down to select Show advanced settings
  4. Scroll down to Reset settings
  5. Click Reset once again
