Firefox recently released version 50 which brought a lot of improved changes to Firefox. After the new update, the browser speed improved tremendously, fixed some high impact security vulnerabilities and reduced memory consumption. According to a recent survey, the market share for Firefox went up 11% and is now behind Chrome in rating.

Recently used tabs come first
Previously when you press Ctrl + Tab, this takes you through then open tabs starting from left to right. In Firefox 50, the same option can be used to open tabs in the order of recently used tabs.
- Open Firefox browser
- Click Tools -> Options
- Under the section General -> go to Tabs section
- Check the option Ctrl + Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order
Keyboard shortcut to open improved Reader Mode
Some users prefer to use Reader Mode to clear the clutter and distractions from web pages. Use the combination Ctrl + Alt + R for PC. (Command + Alt + R on Mac).
