All versions of Windows support disabling of touchpad feature in laptop. Some users like to disable touchpad when the laptop is connected to a wireless mouse. Some users find touching touchpad accidentally is interfering with the smooth flow of work.
How to disable Touchpad
- Press Windows Key + R to open Run window.
- Type control main.cpl
- Under the mouse properties box, click the Device Settings tab
- click Disable Internal pointing device when the external USB pointing device is attached
- click OK to close the window.
