The Amazon Echo range has grown quite a bit since the first smart speaker was introduced a few years ago. Now you can ask for Alexa’s help on Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Spot and Echo Show. To keep up with these helpful devices, there is also a wide range of accessories, from stands to speaker cables and battery bases. Here is a list of best Amazon Echo Accessories which is from Amazon itself.

Amazon Echo Sub

If you want to cure the bass from your Echo, the Echo Sub is what you need. This 100W subwoofer has a 6-inch speaker that can add some serious low end to your music. Paired with a single Echo or Echo Plus, the sound improves by a certain margin, but if you happen to have two Echo (2nd Gen) or Echo Plus (2nd Gen), you can create a 2.1 system with a left / right stereo mix.

This is because the Sub device only works with content streaming over Wi-Fi, so it doesn’t hear that it does its thing when the sound comes from Bluetooth, 3.5mm Aux or TV, but for a simple mounted wireless system it is a nice solution.

Amazon Echo Input

Those with an existing speaker or Hi-Fi system may prefer to use Amazon Echo Input. This is basically the same as the other Echo models but has a remarkable difference that it does not contain a speaker.

Instead, the idea is to connect it to existing speakers via either Bluetooth or a 3.5mm audio cable, making your old “dumb” HiFi an Alexa-powered device.

Of course, the same can be achieved with a regular Echo Dot, but the input is a bit cheaper and narrower, so if there are considerations, Input is a useful alternative.

I-Box Echo Dot Battery Case

Being able to take your Echo Dot with you from room to room improves usability. Unfortunately, this is not possible without unplugging, moving, and then plugging into another outlet because the device does not have an internal battery. One way to fix this is the addition of a battery housing. Simply jumping into the bag and charging it means you can hike anywhere you want – including your garden as long as a Wi-Fi connection is still available.

There are many to choose from, but our current favorite is from i-Box. This excellent battery cover for the 3rd generation Echo Dot promises up to 12 hours of use, plus an integrated 2.1A USB power bank lets you charge your smartphone or tablet directly from the case.

Echo Dot wall mount

Although the eco point is quite small, you may not have a practical desk, sideboard or kitchen area to place it on.

An inexpensive and easy way to deal with this is with a wall bracket. These do not require attachment to the wall itself as they are designed to use the plug instead. When the Echo Dot is in the case and the power cord is plugged in, the unit will have power and Alexa will listen as long as the outlet is on.

The bracket we have chosen here is Sportlink compatible with the 3rd-gen Dot, which is available in black and white to match which version of the dot you have.

If you’re in the US, you can get the Matone Outlet Wall Mount Holder which has a virtually identical design and is available on Amazon USA for $ 10.99.

Amazon Echo Wall Clock

One of the latest accessories is the new Echo Wall Clock manufactured by Amazon. (It’s actually just new to us in the UK – it’s been in the US for a while now.)

This simple unit is basically a battery-powered watch that you can hang anywhere in the house. The magic happens when you pair it with an Echo unit because you can then set several hours and alarms that can let you know when it’s time to take the chicken out of the oven, leave to pick up the kids or stop watching Netflix.

Each timer can get a name so that they can be differentiated from each other, and the clock face shows minute markers so you can quickly tell how long it is left. There is even a 60-second countdown animation to add some tension to the process.

Amazon Echo decorative shell

When you first buy a second-gen Amazon Echo, you have the choice of different finishes. However, because the cover is removable, you can change and add another case at a later time if your taste changes. This may be because you move it to another room where the furniture is darker or you may want one of the wood variants to go with your decor.

Whatever the reason, Amazon’s decorative shell is a relatively inexpensive way to give your Echo a whole new look.

Echo Dot portable speaker case

The first two generations of Echo Dot were large but suffered from relatively poor sound quality compared to the newer model. This can be corrected using a speaker system. These also tend to contain a battery pack that makes the dot portable. If you’re in the UK or Europe, take a look at the Speaker case with Majority Hobson Echo Dot Tower, which offers up to 20 hours of battery life and adds a 360-degree speaker to the mix.

While in the US, there are also Skywin’s wireless battery speakers which have a 10W amplifier for their dual drivers and passive subwoofer, all of which will keep your music for 6 hours from a single charge.

Also, if you were not aware, you can run your first and second gene Echo Dot from any USB power bank that makes it portable.

Echo Dot bed clock

With Echo can act as an alarm, you play gentle music and read the headlines and schedule of the day, it makes a good bed buddy. A place where you place the first or second gene Echo Dot can, therefore, transform an older unit into an excellent watch that coaxes you from sleeping gently while ignoring your murky morning statements.

I-Box has Roost bed speakers for those in the UK, France, Spain and other parts of Europe, while in America they can enjoy the charms offered by the Znewtech Clock Stand.

Echo Connect

You may not be aware, but your Echo can connect to your phone line and let you make hands-free calls to your friends. It requires extra equipment in the form of Echo Connect, but thankfully Amazon has kept the price down to around $ 30 / $ 30 so it’s not an expensive feature to add.

Just place the plugin the phone line connector to the port on the back of Connect, sync everything in the Alexa app, and you can start calling your friends without having to use a handset.

Echo Dot desktop stand

If you are looking for a way to improve the sound projection of your third-gen Echo Dot, as well as make the buttons easier to see, a desk mount can help. These small frames lift the device from the desk and tilt it toward you, providing all of the above benefits while claiming that you improve voice recognition.

The Wigoo table and desktop are one such solution, available in black or white to match your Echo Dot. If you want to be able to angle the unit to the desired orientation, Comsoon table holders offer a swivel fixture similar to those found on car phone holders.
