Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Note 7 Pro starting Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variants, whereas the 6GB + 128GB version will be offered at Rs. 16,999. The Chinese smartphone maker notes that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be available starting March 13 (12 pm) and it will be sold in three colors – Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black. The first two color variants come with a gradient finish on the back.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro sports the same “Aura Design” as the Redmi Note 7 as well as the same 6.3-inch Full-HD+ screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop-style notch (aka Dot Notch). Both front and back of the phone are covered by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 for added durability. The smartphone is powered by 11nm manufacturing processor-based octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, coupled with 4GB/ 6GB of RAM, and 64GB/ 128GB of inbuilt storage with a microSD card slot (up to 256GB).

Among other specifications, the Redmi Note 7 Pro packs a dual-camera setup on the back that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 lens and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The company has also added a number of artificial intelligence (AI) powered features in the camera app of the phone, including AI scene detection, AI Portrait 2.0, and Night mode.

Additionally, there is a 13-megapixel front shooter on the phone as well as support for 4K video recording on the rear camera.
The phone runs on Android Pie-based MIUI 10 and the company says that it has added enhanced system optimizations in the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which, Xiaomi claims, provide 10 percent faster system responsiveness. It has also included a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support in the phone.

Further, you will get a rear fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and dual-SIM support (hybrid). In terms of the connectivity capabilities, the Redmi Note 7 Pro gets 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and Infrared.

First spotted by Nasville Chatter, the Redmi Note 7 Pro with model number M1901F7BE has allegedly been certified by CCC authority in China. The model number is similar to what was assigned to the regular Redmi Note 7 smartphone. The latter comes with model numbers M1901F7T, M1901F7E, and M1901F7C (M1901F7G and M1901F7H model numbers also belong to the Redmi Note 7 variant of Singapore and Taiwan, respectively).

Apart from the wired fast-charging tech, the certification listing doesn’t reveal anything about the handset. Going by previous leaks, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will most likely have the new Snapdragon 675 mobile platform ticking at its core. The SoC is tipped to be accompanied by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The handset may come with a 6.43-inch display with a waterdrop-style notch and full-HD+ resolution.

Redmi CEO Lu Weibing conducted a survey on Weibo today asking fans what they want on the Redmi Note 7 Pro. There were all kinds of suggestions in the comments but one particular comment caught the eye of Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. A follower had suggested that Xiaomi should skip the 3GB + 32GB version altogether and release 6GB + 64GB or 6GB + 128GB variants. The reply was reposted by the Xiaomi CEO which gives strong hints of a Redmi Note 7 Pro with the said configuration.

Previously leaked information suggests that the Redmi Note 7 Pro could arrive with the Snapdragon 675 SoC as compared to the Snapdragon 660 SoC inside its sibling. As mentioned above, another big difference will be the rear camera sensor. While the Redmi Note 7 employs a Samsung GM1 sensor with 48-megapixel capacity, the Pro model has been confirmed to boast of a Sony IMX586 sensor that delivers true 48-megapixel pictures. In terms of design, it’s likely to remain the same as is the screen size. A 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 is also being expected for the high-end Pro version.
